Tesla’s Fortunes: A Rollercoaster Ride

Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ: TSLA) has been on a rollercoaster ride in 2024. The electric vehicle behemoth saw its stock dip more
than 19% year-to-date, but a recent 3% uptick over the last month brought some relief.

Following its second-quarter earnings announcement on July 23, Tesla reported revenue of around $25.5 billion, a modest 2%
up from the previous year, surpassing Wall Street estimates. However, its earnings per share (EPS) took a hit, plunging 43%
year-over-year to 52 cents, missing analysts’ expectations.

Despite the earnings setback, Tesla witnessed a glimmer of hope in the form of a technical rescue – a Golden Cross appeared on
July 29. This bullish signal, where the 50-day moving average crosses above the 200-day moving average, hinted at a potential
upward trend, sparking optimism among investors that a rebound could be on the horizon.

The Tale of Two Crosses: Tesla’s Golden vs. Clean Energy’s Death

While Tesla enjoys the radiance of its Golden Cross, the broader clean energy sector finds itself in stormy waters.

Enphase Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: ENPH), a prominent player in energy management technology, has seen a 15.69% decline year-to-date
and is precariously close to a Death Cross – a bearish signal where the 50-day moving average dips below the 200-day moving average,
indicating potential further downturns.

Blink Charging Co. (NASDAQ: BLNK), another significant contender in the electric vehicle sphere, is also facing challenges. With
its stock down 35.49% YTD, Blink is nearing a Death Cross, overshadowing its immediate prospects.

On a broader scale, the iShares Global Clean Energy ETF (NASDAQ: ICLN), which monitors the performance of clean energy companies
globally, has already succumbed to a Death Cross. This downturn reflects the broader struggles of the sector, with the ETF showing
an 8.54% YTD decline, underscoring the uphill battle faced by clean energy stocks despite Tesla’s recent technical recovery.
