Billionaire Mark Cuban recently revealed his preference for a Kia EV6 over a Tesla Plaid, amidst the ongoing tension with Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
What Prompted This: Cuban made this statement in response to a Threads user who suggested he post images driving a Rivian to provoke Musk amid their ongoing verbal sparring.
Significance: The rift between the two billionaires originated months ago over a debate regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. The dispute has recently intensified, with Musk referring to Cuban as an “insufferable tool” and Cuban labeling Musk a “real bad bitch” in retaliation.
Cuban refrained from commenting on the reasons behind his preference for the EV6 over the Plaid. It remains unclear whether Cuban owns a Plaid version of the Model S sedan or the Model X SUV.
Cuban has been vocal about changes implemented by Musk on X (formerly Twitter) since his acquisition of it in 2022.
In December 2022, Cuban criticized Musk for acting as the ‘judge and jury’ of Twitter and demanded a ‘Bill of Rights’ from the social media platform for more transparency.
However, the disagreements have now boiled down to mere name-calling.
