On CNBC’s “Mad Money Lightning Round,” Jim Cramer made contentious calls on a handful of stocks, shedding light on some thought-provoking positions that sent the markets into a tizzy.

Cramer ignited denunciation by denouncing Wolfspeed, Inc. (WOLF) as a “second-rate player” and losing substantial amounts of cash. The semiconductor manufacturer reported a significant 400% decrease in second-quarter losses, beating analyst consensus estimates but still causing unease.

He also pointed fingers at PureCycle Technologies, Inc. (PCT) for its inability to turn a profit, despite recently updating its Ironton production facility with commendable strides.

In a brave call, Cramer advocated for purchasing shares of AvalonBay Communities, Inc. (AVB), adamantly stating that the real estate stock is “done going down.” The company posted in-line earnings for its fourth quarter, underlining Cramer’s confidence in the face of adversity.

When it came to Herbalife Ltd. (HLF), Cramer was less optimistic, proclaiming, “No, no. We got to step up our game.” Herbalife appointed Stephan Gratziani as President, effective Jan. 2, 2024, to elevate the company’s trajectory.

With a flourish, the “Mad Money” host recommended acquiring shares of Otter Tail Corporation (OTTR). Otter Tail increased its quarterly common stock dividend, an alluring prospect for investors.

Cramer also lauded Liberty Energy Inc. (LBRT) as a solid company worth sticking with, despite recent weaker-than-expected results for its fourth quarter, underscoring his shrewd, long-term vision.

Lastly, Cramer endorsed investment in Palantir Technologies Inc. (PLTR), celebrating the company’s better-than-expected fourth-quarter results.
