In a bullish showing, U.S. stocks surged on Wednesday, with the Dow Jones index experiencing a robust uptick of around 300 points.
The standout performer on Wednesday was Cintas Corporation CTAS, which saw a remarkable ascent in its stock price following a stellar third-quarter financial report and an optimistic FY24 guidance revision.
Impressively, Cintas boasted GAAP earnings of $3.84 per share, surpassing market forecasts of $3.59 per share. The company’s quarterly sales also beat expectations, coming in at $2.406 billion as compared to the anticipated $2.386 billion, as per data sourced from industry platform Benzinga Pro.
Reflecting its solid performance, Cintas shares surged by a robust 9.7% to reach $694.62 by the end of Wednesday’s trading session.
The upward trajectory was not unique to Cintas, as several other big-name stocks also experienced significant gains during the day’s trading.
- One of the notable gainers was PaySign, Inc. PAYS, with its shares soaring by an impressive 28.2% to $4.3299 on the back of a positive fourth-quarter financial report.
- Noah Holdings Limited NOAH also recorded substantial growth, climbing by 17.5% to $11.89 following its fourth quarter financial results.
- NuScale Power Corporation SMR displayed a strong performance, with its stock price surging by 17.5% to $4.89.
- The ONE Group Hospitality, Inc. STKS witnessed a substantial increase of 17.2% to $4.70 after announcing its acquisition of Safflower Holdings.
- Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. DJT climbed by 16.7% to $67.68 following a 16% surge the previous day.
- nCino, Inc. NCNO saw a 15.2% rise to $34.78 after reporting better-than-expected fourth-quarter results and issuing favorable FY25 adjusted earnings guidance.
- Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. LXRX notched up an 11.6% gain to $2.22.
