Indeed, some individuals were observed donning the headset while crossing the street, prompting the San Diego police department to issue a public reminder about appropriateness and safety.
The police department took to its official Instagram account to post a video of a pedestrian wearing the Vision Pro while navigating the streets downtown. The caption underscored the importance of pedestrian safety, urging people to maintain real-world awareness.
U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg had earlier cautioned Tesla drivers against using the Vision Pro, particularly while the vehicle is in motion. Cupertino also advised against operating the headset while driving.
