During afternoon trading this past Friday, the SPDR Portfolio S&P 1500 Composite Stock Market ETF (SPTM) drew considerable attention as it experienced exceptionally high trading volume. The number of shares traded surpassed 2.5 million, a significant surge from its three-month average of approximately 491,000. SPTM also registered a 0.4% increase in share value on the day, reflecting the heightened investor interest.

Among the components within the ETF, notable activity included Medical Properties Trust, which observed a substantial downturn of around 30.1%, with more than 97.1 million shares changing hands during the trading session. Conversely, Tesla witnessed a modest 0.2% increase, with a trading volume exceeding 45.6 million shares. The standout performer within the ETF on Friday was Sitime, demonstrating an impressive 6.3% surge in value.
